What is the process of applying for a PR card for the first time?
Under the new process, you no longer need to apply for the PR card after receiving your Confirmation of Permanent Residency, you will automatically be receiving the PR card on the listed Permanent Address.
How can I calculate points for my express entry?
We have an online CRS tool available on our website to help you calculate your CRS score. Alternatively, you can also use the IRCC’s tool to calculate the score as well.
What are the options for me if I want to work in Canada?
You can either work on a closed or an open work permit in Canada. Open Work Permit allows you to work for any employer in any province in Canada. Closed Work Permit allows you to work for a specific employer that would be listed on your work permit and it would also tell you how long would you be able to work for as well.
How do I know what kind of IELTS do I have to go for?
Academic IELTS is taken by the students who wish to enter for any kind of studies in Canada. This will determine if or not they are well versed in English to be able to effectively study at any English speaking college or university.
General IELTS is a mandate for the Express Entry and for other immigration procedures set up by the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada. This is the test used to determine if the candidate would be able to effectively communicate and work in Canada.
What is the process to Study in Canada?
First and Foremost, one has to have a language test from the approved facilities by IRCC
Then you would have to be accepted by one of the Designated Learning Institutions in Canada, followed by collecting the required documents ( proof of acceptance, funds, identity etc) and submitting an application to IRCC.
What are the befits of being a Permanent Resident of Canada?
You will be able to live, work and study in any Canadian province
You will be able to receive pretty much all the benefits of being a Canadian Citizen
You will eventually be able to apply for Canadian Citizenship as well
What are the requirements of becoming a Canadian Citizen?
You should be atleast 18 years of age
You should have lived in Canada for at least 3 years (1095 days) out of the 5 years as a permanent resident before you submit the application. You are exempt from this requirement if you are under 18
Since English and French are the official languages of Canada, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in one of the two languages
You must not have a criminal conviction anywhere which is punishable under the laws in Canada. This will make you inadmissible and might affect your application.
