Processing time is the approximate amount of time required for the authorities to process your application. This period ranges between the date when the application is received and the date when the application is accepted/rejected. The date on the mail receipt marks the commencement of the processing time in case you’re sending the application. Government Fees

In return for the application, applicants are expected to pay a nominal fee. This fee depends on the type of application. The fee also depends on the number of accompanying family members. TEER codes

TEER stands for Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities required for a certain kind of occupation. It is a governmental system in order to standardize and classify occupations. Each occupation level is assigned a 5- digit code. The code takes into consideration relevant work experience in the particular domain.

A few immigration categories have mandatory constraints on work experience. The system of TEER codes makes the process of immigration smoother and it becomes easier to provide documentation for the occupation you’re migrating for.

Check CRS Score

CRS stands for comprehensive ranking system tool. It is a system used by the IRCC(immigration, refugees and citizenship Canada). The system is used to determine the profile rank of an applicant in the pool of express entry applications. The CRS tool designates an appropriate ranking based on the following criterion

The cut off CRS score for becoming an eligible applicant keeps fluctuating. By knowing your CRS score, you can take measures to increase your CRS score. Higher is the CRS score, better are the chances of your application being accepted.

Language Proficiency Requirement

English and French are the official languages and the most widely spoken languages of Canada. Taking up a language test in English and/or French is mandatory for applying for any migration process. Each category of migration requires qualification of a specific test.

Settlement funds provide proof of the financial ability of the applicant to resettle in Canada. Most immigration categories barring refugees and spousal sponsorship mandate proof of funds.
