Canada is taking bold steps to tackle labour shortages and boost economic growth in smaller communities with the launch of two new immigration pilots—the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP). These programs, announced by Immigration Minister Marc Miller, aim to attract and retain skilled newcomers in rural and Francophone minority regions, creating new opportunities for both businesses and immigrants.
