Francophone
Requirements and Eligibility for the Francophone Program
Francophone: This program was primarily introduced to promote the usage of French in the minority communities. This was basically designed for the Foreign Nationals who resided in the province/territory outside of Quebec, who qualified under NOC O, A or B and who were eligible to be exempt from the need of an LMIA.
The following are the requirements of the programs:
- Fluency in French has to be at CLB 7
- The employment of the foreign national has to be in any other province/territory than Quebec
- The Foreign National is employed in the jobs of NOC O, A or B
- The employer has to be willing to pay the $230 compliance fee
Note: You do not have to be from a French Speaking Country in order to qualify for this program as long as you’re able to prove your French speaking ability by scoring a score of CLB level 7.
