Caregiver Program
Home Child Care Provider Pilot : Under this category, the candidate would help the parent look after their chid and help them with the household duties. Under this pilot, the sponsors do not necessarily have to provide a place to live for the candidate which is what makes it different from the previous Live- In Caregiver Program. The following job titles would be eligible to apply under this category:
- Babysitter- Shopping Center
- Babysitter- Fitness Center
- Babysitter- General
- Au pair
- Child care provider- private home
- Foster Parent
- Nanny
Home Support Worker Pilot : Under this category, the candidates would be helping the people with disabilities, and individuals in rehabilitation by providing personal care when they are recovering, or are incapacitated in any form or any reason. They would perform duties like prepping meals, feeding, bathing, changing dressings and other routine housekeeping duties. The care is primarily given in the client’s house so mostly the worker would be required to live on premises. The following job titles would be eligible to apply under this category:
- Attendants for people with disabilities in home cares
- Home Support Worker
- Housekeeper
- Home visitor- infant care
- Live-in caregivers-seniors
- Personal aide- home support
- Personal care attendant- home care
Note: The major difference in these pilot programs and the earlier live-in caregiver program is that if you, as a candidate desire to change your employer, you do have the ability to do so.
